Do you have a creative idea on how a local space or an outdoor space could be put to better use? You might be a Landlord or have just spotted an underutilised indoor-outdoor space  If so, this workshop is for you.

About the event:

Business Doncaster is inviting local creative groups/individuals to apply for grants that will help them launch businesses or social enterprises, or which put plans in place that solve a problem and benefit local people.

Ideas could include:

• Using vacant spaces for new events and festivals
• Growing existing businesses via art competitions, virtual exhibitions, etc.
• Feasibility studies of vacant units to transform into gallery spaces, maker spaces, or homes for creative businesses
• The development of a new attraction in the town, e.g. animated projections, digital art.
• Potential to explore a creative platform or network aimed at local makers and creators to network, share ideas, and promote their work

At the event, Wayne Hemingway will detail the fund’s aims and what grant applications should focus on and include.
